The Warriors have their Klay Thompson replacement. According to ESPN, the team is picking up Buddy Hield via a sign-and-trade deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. The contract guarantees the guard two seasons and 21-million dollars. The Warriors sent the Sixers a 2031 second-round pick. Hield is coming off a season in which he averaged 12.1 points per game and shot 38.6 percent from three-point range with the Sixers and Indiana Pacers.

The Giants visit Cleveland starting today.

(Oakland, CA) -- The Athletics shut out the Angels 5-0 to sweep their series from Oakland. JP Sears earned the win after giving up two hits and striking out six batters over five innings. The bullpen allowed just two more hits over the final four frames. Lawrence Butler smashed a solo homer and Brent Rooker went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Miguel Andujar also drove in a run for Oakland, which has won four of its last six games and remains last in the AL West at 33-and-56. The A's host the Orioles tonight.
