Biggs Captures Division V Title in thrilling fashion over Fall River

What a game.

The Biggs Wolverines were ready to celebrate. With 6:04 remaining they had just completed a 9-minute drive to grab a 21-7 lead over the defending Division V champion Fall River Bulldogs.

But the heart of a champion should never be underestimated. The Bulldogs would drive 60 yards in 2:55 seconds to cut the deficit to 21-14. Then, after recovering an on-side kick the Bulldogs were trying to pull off one of the great comebacks in North Section Championship history. With no timeouts the Bulldogs had a 1st and goal from the Biggs 7 yard line. After a couple of runs nudged the ball to the 3, Fall River’s chances looked to be dim after a fumbled snap. What would follow would be some of the most dramatic North Section Championship football in years.

LeBron James the Quitter

I grew up watching Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls win  six championships. I grew up watching Michael Jordan go Six for six in the NBA Finals. These factors may be part of the reason why I have never been a fan of LeBron James, could also be that he has never won anything on his own and he is the supposed face of the NBA.

I was  watching Sportscenter the other night when I saw this clip of James being asked about the Northern Iowa collapse in the NCAA Tournament. His answer was terrible. He basically said that the Northern Iowa players should quit basketball. Reminded me how he quit on Cleveland to go get his titles.

Here is a clip of what he said. You be the judge, me personally, as the supposed face of the NBA, you can’t say what he said, even if you are joking..

Green vs Hart

This past weekends All-Star Saturday Night may have been one of the best the NBA has seen. From Klay getting revenge on Steph, to the amazing display during the dunk contest, it was hours of entertainment on a slow sports weekend. Forgotten may be the challenge that actor Kevin Hart sent out to Warrior Draymond Green for a shootout, that Draymond accepted. What was all fun and games, turned into to a good battle, check it out…

On Purpose or Accident

By. Michael Vislosky

Last night in an NHL game between the Calgary Flames and the Nashville Predators, defensemen Dennis Wideman cross checked referee Don Henderson to the ground on what looks like a purposeful act. At first glance it looks like its a sure thing that he hit the referee on purpose, but many analyst and some hockey executives believe his story that he did not see the referee until the last minute. You be the judge…

The Wonderful Side of Sports

By. Michael Vislosky

A couple of weeks ago I found a video of tennis player Jack Sock telling his competitor that the referee made the wrong call in their match and that he should challenge the call so he received the point that he deserved. Last night I saw this gem where a ball girl at the first tennis major of the year, The Australian Open seemed to be injured and Frenchmen and Top 10 player Jo Wilfred Tsonga did this…
