By Chandler Guadagnin

The San Francisco Giants have announced today that Madison Bumgarner has been officially diagnosed with a Grade 2 left shoulder sprain, which he sustained during a dirt bike accident last week.

Prior to the accident, Bumgarner started four games, going 0-3 with a 3.00 ERA. In 27 innings pitched, Madison struck out 28 batters while issuing four free passes and surrendering 2 home runs.

The injury will sideline him through the All-Star Break.
