The World Series continues as game four comes your way from Wrigley Field in Chicago. Cleveland will send, ace, Corey Kluber to the mound to put them on the precipice of a World Series Championship. Kluber will be opposed by Chicago veteran John Lackey.
In his last start of the postseason-Game one of this World Series- Kluber pitched his team to victory as he went six innings allowing no runs on four hits, walking none, and striking out nine. Kluber etched his name in the history books in game one as well, as he became the first pitcher in postseason history to strikeout eight of the first nine batters faced. Kluber will look to continue his postseason dominance for Cleveland tonight.
The Cubs’, John Lackey, is yet to make a start in this World Series. This postseason, Lackey has posted an 0-0 record over two games pitched. In eight innings pitched, Lackey, has surrendered five homeruns while, walking five and striking out seven for an ERA of 5.63. Oppenent average against Lackey this postseason stands at .375. All of his earned runs this postseason have come off of the homeruns he has given up. Overall, the key for him tonight will be keeping the ball in the ballpark.
X factors for this game are, once again, the effectiveness of the starters and the bullpens. The direction of the wind will also play a factor in game four. Important to note, in all three games thus far, the team to score first has won each contest.
Game four comes your way at 5:00PM PT on FOX. Be sure to log on to www.kpaysports.com for the breakdown of game four.
